These Fitness Tips Brought to You by Alloy Insurance
Whether you’re ready or not, the year 2022 has arrived. If there’s one thing we’ve learned in the last few years, it’s that life is unpredictable and can throw a curveball. We’ve also discovered that we’re resilient and that we’ve found methods to take care of ourselves in the face of adversity. Having looked on another year of navigating life while dealing with a pandemic, you might feel that fitness took a back seat or that you didn’t get to exercise as much as you had anticipated. But that’s okay: a new year means a fresh start for both your wellness objectives and how you think about them.
Focus On Why Your Workout
Find out why you’re doing what you’re doing. It will be very difficult to stay motivated in 2022 if you are unsure of your true motivation. Ask yourself why am I working out, then ask yourself why again after you’ve written down your answer. Do this seven times in total to see what your answer reveals. Your true reason may astound you.
Create Time
Making time for yourself is difficult when your day is jam-packed with things to accomplish, especially when you’re aware that you’re in the midst of a pandemic. However, scheduling time to be active or relax and decompress is beneficial to both mental and physical health.
Find an Accountability Partner
We recommend hiring a health coach or even enlisting the help of some friends to keep you on track. Keep track of your meals and workouts so you can look back and see how you are doing.
Get New Gear
The start of a new year is a perfect time to take stock of your training gear. Perhaps you need new sneakers, training attire that is more appropriate for cold or warm weather, or even some new workout equipment, such as gym floors, free weights, or cardio equipment.
Do It Together
A group training activity is one in which three or more people participate. Dance-based classes, indoor climbing, basketball, bike riding, kickboxing, and cardio classes are common group training activities. Group training serves to stimulate the people in it, which is especially beneficial if you have a competitive drive and it also instills a sense of accountabilty and makes the activity more enjoyable.
Stay Hydrated
Keep yourself hydrated! Health experts commonly recommend eight 8-ounce glasses, which equals about 2 liters, or half a gallon a day. This is called the 8×8 rule and is very easy to remember.
